HWTS Inc. can provide complete vibration analysis with respect
to shock induced or rotating issues. The analysis can address the cause
of the vibration, the resulting affects on it, the solution to the
problem and all major areas of concern. The first step in this process
will be a review of all of the information and determine a process to
resolve the issue.

- Isolating the Cause
The cause of
a serious vibration problem can be hard to locate. A simple
and systematic process of elimination would be used to
locate the problem.
- Analyzing the Effects of Vibration
Once the
cause of the vibration is located its magnitude and impact
on the system can be determined. From this point on it is a
case of where does the problem warrant a solution or is it a
case where the levels of vibration are monitored and a
solution postponed until a later date.
- Solution to the Problem
The solution
to the problem may be as simple as the replacement of the
equipment but in other cases is may be more involved, such
as adding more supports or isolators. In some cases where
the problem is an impact issue, such as a case for an
instrument or tool, the resulting solution may be a redesign
of the enclosure.
- Vibration/Shock Induced Loads
Stresses induced by vibration/shock can be addressed
similar to seismic induced stresses. Once the cause of the
vibration/shock has been identified, the maximum 'g' force
can be determined and used in the analysis.
