Complete Piping Analysis

Home

HWTS Inc. can provide complete piping analysis with respect to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel and the ASME/ANSI Piping Codes. The analysis can address all major areas of concern. The first step in this process will be a review of all of the dimensional information supplied by either design drawings or field inspections. Where necessary, a detailed analysis for the pertinent design information can be provided to the site for installation. Once the dimensional information has been confirmed and the acceptance criteria outlined the detailed analysis can be finalized. The analysis could address the following areas depending on the code requirements.

Areas addressed

  • Piping Loads

All piping loads, with respect to internal operating pressure and temperature can be addressed. In addition to this, the forces from thermal expansion and other external loads, such as wind and seismic conditions, can be addressed depending on requirements.

  • Piping Supports Loads

All piping support loads with respect to operating expansion and dead weight can be addressed. In addition to this, the forces from thermal expansion and other loads, wind and seismic conditions, can be addressed depending on requirements.

  • Vibration Induced Loads

Stresses induced by vibration/shock can also be addressed similar to seismic induced stresses. Once the cause of the vibration/shock has been identified, the maximum 'g' force can be determined and used in the analysis.
